Breakfast is a time for sweet and bright coffee. Ballot Box is our breakfast coffee, but the question remains: How does it taste? It's light to medium-roasted but retains some of the brighter, sweet cherry notes. We love this brewed as a pour-over or a plain ol' drip coffee maker. This coffee blends Colombian and Brazilian coffee with a nice balance of sweetness, fruitiness, and a chocolate base.
The Colombian coffee is from the ASMUCAFE coop, a group of women farmers and landowners in El Tambo, Colombia. The women's mission as an association is to improve their families' quality of life through coffee farming and to contribute positively to their community by working together and sharing resources, knowledge, and support.
The gorgeous Brazilian coffee is grown under the attentive care of second-generation coffee farmer Denise Aparecida Pereira. It’s a naturally processed Brazil that blew us away with its flavor and complexity while maintaining an approachable balance.
