The LWVMC Natural Resources Committee meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday to organize, educate and advocate on local and state environmental issues. (Please check the Calendar for upcoming meetings and events).

We recognize that our environment, if protected and wisely managed, will benefit all life and support healthy, vibrant and economically sustainable communities.

Our current areas of involvement are air, water quality and quantity, and climate change. We welcome you!

Lead Issues in Milwaukee: Advocacy/Roundtables
Lead Issues in Milwaukee: Advocacy/Roundtables
Since 2019, the LWVMC has been conducting roundtables and collecting resources to advocate for safe living conditions, testing for sources of lead poisoning, and preventing lead poisoning.

Extensive information has been amassed on this subject by the Natural Resources Committee and has been used to urge officials to take action to ensure safe drinking water and living environments especially for children.
