HomeContact Elected Officials

BY PHONE:
Most elected officials or their aides take constituent calls during regular business hours. To determine how to reach your official(s) by phone, click here.

BY LETTER OR VIA EMAIL:
Letters and emails are effective ways to communicate with your elected officials. Be sure to keep the letter/email brief. Letters via mail AND email are very effective. Type or write legibly, use a respectful tone, stick to one issue or set of issues, state your position up front along with action, support your position with facts, include legislative bill number if applicable, and request a written response (make sure you include your full address if you do).

IN PERSON:
Visiting an elected official is a great way to get to know them (and vice-versa) and discuss the issues of importance to you. Call or email to request a meeting. Click here to find contact info for your elected official(s).

ATTEND A TOWN HALL MEETING:
Watch the media and your mail for Town Hall meetings being held by your elected representatives. Attend and participate if you can.

Connecting with your elected officials allows you to make your voice heard as a voter. After all, these are the individuals that will be making decisions that directly affect you, your family and your friends.
