In recent years, laws restricting access to reproductive healthcare and abortion have imperiled women‘s lives, health and fertility. Maternal deaths have increased, especially for Black women. The Reproductive Rights Committee of the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County presents this public issues forum to learn more about this critical issue from medical and legal experts.

Lunch and Learn follows the lead of women and the communities most impacted by racism and inequity. We focus on what we can do to make things better for humankind.

For the second time, the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin (LWVWI) is teaming up with the American Society of Civil Engineers-Wisconsin Section (ASCE-WI) to bring the findings of the ASCE-WI 2024 Report Card for Wisconsin‘s Infrastructure to you. This webinar series, kicking off on October 17th 12:00-1:30 pm, will bring insights into Wisconsin’s 17 infrastructure areas straight from the report authors. Each program will also include diverse perspectives from those involved in different aspects of each area.

League Cafe meets monthly and welcomes League members old and new, as well as community members. In a small group setting, we get to know each other better, share knowledge and have interesting conversations. In rotating months, we meet as a general discussion group, and in opposite months, convene as a book club to discuss noteworthy books on racial equity, immigration and/or voting.
