Dear Fellow League members:
On Thursday, April 17 the League of Women Voters United States sent out a press release stating that, "Our country is in a constitutional crisis". These are strong words. The full text of the press release can be found here: Constitutional Crisis
The League further stated, "We the people must fight back". They announced a new initiative with details to be forthcoming as the month progresses. In the meantime, you can fight back by marching with the League of Women Voters Milwaukee County on May 1 in support of immigrants, due process and our constitution at Voces de la Frontera's annual "Day Without Immigrants & Workers" event.* Meet at the League's table.
