Our January meeting was short because of video meeting difficulties and our expected guest, author Kathy Sharpe was not able to join us because of a weather-related power outage! We are going to give this another try!

Please join us virtually on Sunday, Feb 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. Kathy Sharpe, author of "Aging Into Poverty," will join us. We look forward to hearing from Kathy and discussing the important issues she talks about in her book. 

Following is a summary of the book from the Amazon Books website. It is not necessary to have read Kathy’s book before we meet.    

“While one in five of us will need significant assistance with the activities of daily living or long-term care for more than five years, costing as much as $100,000 per year, about 50% of women ages 55 to 66 have no personal retirement savings.  Aging Into Poverty spotlights the looming crisis for American women, their families, and communities.
