Dear Member: We are reaching out to all of our Members who have mentioned, through their Member Sign up or Interest Survey, that they have some skills with computers and data management and the like.
We need to find a Volunteer Webmaster; someone who will learn how our website works and then help to keep it up-to-date. It has always been our paid Administrative Assistant acting as our website expert and Webmaster but we once again find ourselves without the support of an Administrative Assistant. We think it would be wise to have a Member Webmaster, a backup who knows our website and can keep it going during those times we are without an Admin person. They would also act as a check on the website and work with the Administrative Assistant to help troubleshoot issues. There are a series of instructional webinars available to help our Volunteer Webmaster learn the ins and outs. The webinar series is broken up into 6 sessions, each lasting about 3 hours. Since it is recorded you can listen to only what you need to learn. If you were to listen to the entire webinar series it would take about a total of 18 hours to complete. To get you started we would need to meet in person to give you the necessary sign-ons etc. but after that, it could all be done from home. You can learn from home and do all of the work from home. A working website is an important tool in helping our League get out the vote and defend democracy. This work, while behind the scenes, is an important part of our organization. If you would be interested in this, kindly give me a call, text or send me an email. Thank you!
