LWVWI Addresses Voter Intimidation Efforts

The State League is a leader in the Wisconsin Election Protection Coalition where voting rights groups and legal partners work to combat voter intimidation. If you hear of anything or experience any voting related issues, including intimidating text messages, please report it to the Election Protection Hotline by calling 866-OUR-VOTE.

Here are a few media stories that we are encouraged to share:

Volunteers Needed for Post-Election Equipment Audit Observation

The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is now recruiting volunteers for its Post-Election Equipment Audit Observation Program. The equipment audits happen in the weeks after election day, sometimes with only 24 hours notice, so flexibility is key for this volunteer opportunity.

LWVWI will find out which municipalities, reporting units and contests are chosen for post-election equipment audits on Wednesday November 6, during a special Wisconsin Elections Commission meeting. LWVWI will provide training, a reporting form to document findings, and other support. Please contact LWVWI Voter Services Coordinator Delany Zimmer with questions at dzimmer@lwvwi.org
