We, the LWVWI's 60th Anniversary VRA AdHoc Committee would like to invite YOU to our special event. See the graphic below and please share widely within your respective sphere of influence. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, we will host a public event at the Wisconsin's State Capitol in Madison to commemorate the Act (VRA) of 1965 an the 50th Anniversary of Section 203 of the 1975 60th Voting Rights amendment, which expanded voting protections for language minority groups. The keynote address will be delivered by Dianna Wynn, National Board President, LWVUS, during the noon hour program in the Rotunda. Our theme is, "Voting Rights: The Foundation of Democracy”. Our theme reflects the League’s long-standing commitment to this landmark legislation and to restoring the protections that have been weakened over time. This event will be both a celebration and a call to action, aligning with the League's ongoing work to ensure every voice is heard and every vote is counted.
